The Truth About Facebook. The Good, Bad & UGLY.

Welcome to Facebook! Where you will be judged for everything you say. You will make friends, lose friends. stalk strangers and have every aspect of your life broadcast to your "friends".
Dont get me wrong. I love facebook. Im addicted. Its open on my computer right now. & I think facebook is wonderful, mostly. However, There are things on my Facebook newsfeed that make me CRINGE on a daily basis.

Heres my view on the best and worst of facebook

Personal Life
Good
I LOVE when good things happen to my friends. I am so proud of them when they get a raise, or get a new job. I practically scream with joy when I find out someone has gotten engaged or married. & Im TOTALLY guilty of stalking my cute pregnant friends.
These are all amazing things. Thank you friends for sharing

Bad
I simply do not care what you are doing every minute of the day. I hate it when people update more than 2 or 3 times a day. Or give statuses that list every single mundane thing they have done that day. Like
"Woke up, ate breakfast, watched the Nate show! LOVE NATE, took a shower, went for a run, took a shower, ate lunch, now just sitting here on facebook! Long day so far!"

Ugly.
8:15 "Ate Whataburger and didnt gain a pound! #skinnygirlproblems #bulemiasabitch"
7:20 "Putting in the miles! Working off all of those calories I ate today! #gymrat"
4:20 "Just now eating today, too bad I have to eat at my desk! #secretaryproblems"
2:00 "Time for another cup of coffee! Its a long day! #coffeeadict #needthecalories"
8:25 "Starbucks on my way to work! I think Im addicted! #ventiplease #hangoverprobz"

**Side note- If you post it on facebook for your 1000+ friends to see, it is no longer PERSONAL. You decided to post it, dont get upset when people talk.

Relationships
Good
Again, I am OVER JOYED when I see my friends have taken the next step in their relationships- moving in together, getting engaged, married, whatever. I love that about Facebook, it keeps you in touch with people and lets you know whats happening in their lives.

Bad
On the other hand, Im kind of sick of posts like  "OHMYGOD I COULDNT LOVE THIS MAN HARDER IF I TRIED!! He is soo good to me! Love you SnuggiePieSnuggleButt! Smooches! lmbo!"
I mean, Im SUPER glad you found someone who makes sunshine out of your ass, but thats what text messages are for. Or private messages. Or a phone call. Facebook, not so much.
But I will admit, Ive done it. Im sure everyone has. If we could keep it to a minimum though, that would be stellar.

Ugly.
However, the worst HAS to be when people go through a break up.

6:45 "Im so old and lonely. Ill never find anyone. Lost my one true love."
3:30 "Still waiting on you to just come back to me. I miss you!!!"
11:47 ""Even on my weakest day,  I get a little bit stronger! #sayingsforgirls #damnitstrue"
9:55 "Wish I was hearing his voice on the other end of the phone."
7:07 "There were more tears than dreams in my pillow last night..."
3:00 "Cant sleep thinking about him. :("

Or maybe the worst is when people break up, get back together, and break up again... and again and again. Because then you have to watch the CYCLE of that shit over and over and over.

Mommies & Babies
Good
I love it when mommies post pictures of their growing little tummies & pictures of the nursery & the adorable little clothes. It lets me live vicariously through them for a hot minute. Plus I love to shop for my friends children. I can barely walk past a children's store without being lured inside by all of the darling little outfits. & lets not forget about seeing pictures of the babies themselves.
Im totally guilty of stalking pregnant friends from the moment the news hits facebook until that sweet baby is home... and even after. Im like "Oh 200 pictures from the hospital... dont mind if I do!" And for the next half hour, Im scrutinizing every photo you just uploaded. Yepp, Im THAT person.

Bad
Hoooowever. I find myself utilizing the "hide" button on new mommies a lot. Going back to the personal life thing, noone REALLY cares if your baby wouldnt breast feed today. Or if he missed his nap. I mean, Im sure thats vitally important to your day, and Im not discounting that at all, but Im just saying, does everyone else need to know?

Ugly. Nasty. Gross.
I am not singling any one of you out, because I swear there are like 20 of you that do this, No one wants to read about your babies poop. Ever.
Call the doctor. Call a friend. Shit, search Google or WebMD, but please no more babies pooping posts.
Yesterday alone I saw 6. SIX. SIX DIFFERENT POSTS ABOUT BABY POOP. No more, Mommy friends, please.

Strangers & Stalking
Good.Bad&Ugly
Im all for a little bit of new-aged stalking. If you have a Facebook page, I probably know more about you than I should. But after you learn things, you have to learn how to process the information. For example, dont just rush out to someone youve never met and say "Oh yeah, I know you from Facebook." Thats just weird.
Also, little prostalk lesson, nothing that you have to say about a photo is worth saying if the photo is over a few months old. It never fails to FREAK ME OUT when people comment on my stuff from more than a year ago. Because I know DAMN WELL that you have just looked through ALL of my stuff. Creep. Keep it to yourselves.
But if we are going to be honest, if I look at one of your profile pictures, Im going to look at all of them... every time. It doesnt matter if you have 4 or 148, I start clicking and just cant stop.

There you have it friends. My break down of the best and worst of Facebook. Enjoy.

Turkey Trot, Iron Bowl & Bubbles

Turkey Trot
Its not very often that I do something that I am really really PROUD of myself for. I think the last time I can say I legitimately was super proud of something I did was when I made a 4.0 last semester. ((Ill probably never see THAT again; it was a monumental moment in my college life)) But on Thanksgiving Day, I did something I was proud of again... RAN my first 5k!
On Tuesday I basically forced my sister to sign up with me, so she spent the night on Wednesday & we got up BRIGHT & EARLY on Thanksgiving to do the Run for Hope. I have to admit, I was so anxious I couldnt sleep. But the morning of, I was just excited & ready to get started. We decided to run the whole thing together & push each other. We made our first mile in 9 minutes, and the second in 18:35. The last mile was the hardest, because it was mostly uphill. But when I saw the finish line & I saw the time on 29:30-something I was about to cry. We sprinted to the end & our "official" time was 29:45. I was so happy I cried... then puked. (probably from the yogurt... hindsight bias- that was a bad breakfast choice).
Here we are after the race- I am completely aware that I look like t-total-shit.

I've worked really hard over the last 8ish weeks to get ready for a run. I've almost completed the Couch to 5k program & I've already purchased the Bridge to 10k app! I never thought Id say this, but I like running! I cant wait to sign up for my next run & work at improving my time!

After the run, I completely blew what little motivation I had to continue my so called diet. I gained 5, FIVE, pounds over Thanksgiving. Unacceptable. But it was TOTALLY worth it. God I love food. Plus it was really nice being able to see my family.

Iron Bowl
I love the Iron Bowl. I love getting all of our friends & family together. I love the food, the camaraderie and the jeering of the other team. This year was particularly fun. We had the Iron Bowl party at our house & everybody brought a TON of food. We also played the traditional shot game: at the beginning of the game you declare which team you are pulling for. If the other team makes a touchdown, field goal or interception, you have to take a shot. This year, the Auburn fans had it rough. I wish I had recorded each shot they took, because one of Chris's toasts was certainly one for the books. It went something like this:

Me: *hands Chris a shot* Okay, Say Roll Tide!
Chris: No! Im never saying that...
Mom: Okay, well say 'Fuck Bama' and take your shot.
Chris: *Drunkenly sways* Okay, guys.... We are going to toast to FOOTBALL & even though Auburn is losing, we still have Bama Bitches making our drinks!

Oh Chris... when are you going to learn social skills? Haha. His friends made fun of him all night, and tried to tell him that you SHOULD NOT refer to your future mother-in-law as a "bama bitch". But it was all in good fun. My family still loves him. :)

Bubbles
After Bama whipped ass, most of our friends still stayed for a little while to hang out. Suzanne & I decided to set up a hookah, and turn on some music when Misty said "Have you ever blown hookah bubbles" & then the night became one of the best ever.
I had never heard of hookah bubbles before. But apparently when you exhale the smoke, you just blow it into a bubble wand. Then the bubble holds the smoke until it pops. Holy.Shit. Best. Idea. Ever.

However, Misty told me this little gem of information, I didnt have any bubbles. So, impromptu bubbles it was- Suzanne & I made bubbles with Bath & Body shower gel, water & we used miscellaneous items to blow the bubbles. Some of them included: an apple corer, a rotel can, baby dixie cup, blue solo cup, & wire ornament hangers.

As entertaining as it was to watch us make a mess with fake bubbles, Alisa was like THE BEST FRIEND EVER and got us real bubbles. ((Suzanne & I also went to the Dollar Tree & bought more shit to blow bubbles with- a recorder, a spatula & a paddle ball))

I also have two really good videos of our bubble blowing shindig. They are both short, and probably worth watching. Especially the first one. God, we are so weird.

30 Things Im Thankful For

Every year there is a movement on Facebook starting November 1st to list something everyday that you are thankful for. I would try this, but I know that I would either get annoyed with it, or forget after day 5... or maybe day 8. So I thought I would just list 30 things that I am thankful for in one giant blog. Enjoy.

People.
1. Chris
I am so thankful that I met Chris (almost) 4 years ago. It was a completely random meeting. We had no friends in common, we didnt go to the same school, or play common sports. It was a chance meeting that changed my life forever. I am so grateful that I am going to marry the greatest man I have ever met. He is so kind and caring; he is ambitious and goal oriented; he loves his family and values each and every friend he has. I could not imagine my life without him. I love him with every ounce of my being.

2. Mobley
(If even one person comments that Mobley is not, in fact, a person, I will punch them in the throat). I cannot remember what life was like before I had Mobley. I do remember rolling over at 4 am one morning, waking Chris up and saying "Baby, I just had a dream that we are going to get him a dog and name him Molbey or Neil" Chris grunted "Im not naming my dog Neil" and went back to sleep. A few months later, Mobley came into our lives.
I am so lucky & thankful that I get to curl up to my furry baby every night & am woken up by his kisses every morning. I am one proud mama.

3. Mom
I am so lucky that I have such a sweet mom. I am thankful for the amazing relationship that we have & all she does for me. I also feel especially thankful for her chatting with me on my drive home almost every afternoon.
4. Dad
I have the best dad in the world. I am truly grateful for everything you do for me. ((Paying for my gas gets you super bonus points, Dad)) My dad is laid back, hard working, and has a great sense of humor. Thank you, Dad, for everything, especially not freaking out and or killing me or Chris when you found out how old he really was...

5. Lauren

I am also incredibly thankful for my sister. I am excited about having the opportunity to grow closer with Lauren this year as she helps plan & participate in my wedding. I am so proud of her & cant WAIT to come visit at Alabama next year!!

6. Joshie
Ohhh Joshie. I am thankful for you because you make me laugh every time I talk to you. Shit, I laugh just hearing stories about you. I also love the fact that you stress Mom out about as much as I do. Youre my favorite brother (and Im sure Im your favorite sister... sorry Lauren).

7. Mimi, Nana, Pappy & Maybe Elton.
I was given 3 wonderful grandparents (and one sub par grandparent) that I love very much. The three that are reading this, you are the great ones. :) I am thankful everyday that I have such an amazing family.

8. Suzy

Oh dear god, WHERE would my life be without Suzanne. ((Ill give you a hint, its probably in the shitter somewhere)) Suzanne is the most kind, loyal friend I could ever ask for. She is honest, and HILARIOUS and as weird as I am. I wouldnt have her any other way. I feel like my life is better because she is my friend.

9. Alisa

I am so glad I have found a friend in you, Alisa. Im glad we got over both of us being such strong willed individuals and decided to become friends. I truly value our friendship & cannot wait to have you support me and stand by me on my wedding day. I know we will be friends forever.

10. My Happy Life
Everyone has their days, but Im certainly glad that Im able to see the glass half full most of the time. It must be miserable to live life always being negative.
11. All of my Friends
I am thankful for all of my friends and the joy that each one of you brings to my life.

Traits
12. Education
You can tease me all you want about going to a stuck up high school, but I am extremely thankful for my education. I OFTEN look around my college class rooms & think that I was much more prepared for college that some of my peers. I am thankful for not only the foundation I got through high school, but also for my college education.
Thank you Mom & Dad for sacrificing & working your asses off to give me the best education possible.

13. Open-mindedness
I am thankful for the vast array of people that showed me somewhere along the way that it is okay to be different. I am eternally grateful for all of those who showed me what it was to be open minded & accepting of people who are different from myself.

14. Being Silly
Im thankful for silly days & silly friends. I cant imagine what my life would be like if I was serious all of the time.

15. Health
Even though I have some fertility & PCOS problems, I consider myself to be in great health, and for that, I consider myself very lucky. When I am tempted to throw a pity party for myself, I have to remind myself that it could always be worse.

Essentials
16. Home
I feel extremely blessed to have such a beautiful home to provide shelter, warmth, AIR CONDITIONING & a place to lay my head at night.

17. Food & Clean Water
I am also grateful to live in a place, and be in a place in my life that I am able to access nutritious food, and clean water. There are so many people all over the world that do without these essentials.

18. Good Sheets
Say what you will, but good sheets are essential. Im thankful for my comfy bed, my memory foam pillow & nice sheets.

19. Clothes... Well, mostly Spandex
Not only am I thankful for clothes to physically protect my body, but I also enjoy fashion. Im grateful for the heals that make my legs look killer, the spandex shorts that make my butt look awesome, the jeans that make me feel pretty & the Spanx that make me look thin.

20. Job
I am lucky I have a job, especially a job that works so great with my school and personal schedule. I know most people dont have it as good as I do at work, and for that I am so thankful.

Frivolous Things
21. Make Up
Maybe there are other things that are way more important things, but that does not mean that I am not extremely grateful for good make up. I would be a walking crisis every single day without red lipstick, eyeliner & a good tube of black mascara.

22. Music
It would be a boring world without music. Music is a part of every aspect of my life. I listen to it getting dressed, driving in the car, working out, doing homework, during work, while Im cleaning. I cant think of much I do without a little music to inspire me.

23. Facebook
Whether I am thankful for Facebook because I like keeping up with my friends, or because some people's statuses make me feel good about myself is debatable. But regardless, I am thankful for facebook, and all the drama that comes along with it. I cant help it. I love that shit.

Randoms
24. Kickball
I love kickball. But more than actually loving kickball, I love meeting new people, having a blast, taking a break from school and work, and having a hobby that Chris & I share together. I love my kickball team & am thankful for them

25. Books
Maybe this should be listed under essentials, but I am so grateful for good books. There is something about being surrounded by books & knowledge that is empowering & somehow overwhelming. I just want to absorb all the knowledge and life lessons from each and every one.

26. Laughing
Today, I am grateful for this article. & This...
But mostly I am grateful for laughing every day.

27. Photos
I am always thankful for photos. I love looking back at old pictures and remembering experiences and being able to vividly remember when they were taken and what was going on.

28. Internet
My life would be miserable if I had to call Pizza Hut and actually ASK what their specials were every time I wanted to order a pizza instead of just googling it. I would not do well in a society that I had to wait 7-10 days for a response in the mail instead of waiting 4 or 5 hours for an email. & HOW did people stalk before facebook? & GOD forbid I actually step foot inside a library to do RESEARCH. Needless to say, I am thankful for the Internet

29. The impending wedding of my dreams
While I am MOST thankful that I am marrying Chris & I FULLY realize that its not the WEDDING but the MARRIAGE that matters, I am still thankful for my parents, and grandparents helping to make the biggest day of my life one that I will never forget. There isnt going to be a detail that has been overlooked, and I cannot wait to see it all come together. (212 days to go, just in case you were curious)

30. My Planner
Again, maybe this should have gone under essentials, but I dont know what I would do without my planner. I love being on time and scheduling out my days. I like planning to make the most of every bit of time I have. I know it makes me slightly anal retentive, but I love my organized life.

Thirty.

CHRIS IS 30. 3-0. Thirty. 30. Thirtttty. & I think I was way more excited that he was about his birthday.

I think Chris was a little sad about hitting 30. In fact, I was going to physically assault him if I heard any more of these things "Well, we have a house... thats good." "We will be married before Im 31... most people are married younger though." "Im the only one of my friends without kids yet...." "I should have increased my life insurance last week... it will probably go up now that Im 30..." "I mean, I got a degree before I was 30.... thats pretty good... but I AM still in school... *sigh*"  -- If you cant tell, I was OVER the complaining. We have a great life. I see no need to compare our lives to what others have. If you do that, you will NEVER be happy. I am SO proud of everything Chris has accomplished. We have a fantastic life. 30 is just a number.

But We did have an AMAZING day celebrating his birthday on Saturday. If you were there you know JUST how much fun Chris was having. My family is seriously AMAZING. I was going to half ass throw together a party for Chris. I was just going to get a slip n slide & some chips and dip and call it good. But Nana made some great roast beef & home made meatballs that were to die for. Mimi made some dips. Mom made some food. We brought a boston butt that Justin smoked. We had a ton of food. & My parents were nice enough to let us invade their house.
I hope everybody had a great time. I know we did :) Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Chris took this picture and said (DIRECT QUOTE) "Baby, you look like a whale." I punched him in his stomach. THEN he thought about it and said "Oh, no... I mean, your arms! Are like a... seal?"

We had such a good time at his party. Thank you everybody who came!! Im sure it was a memorable birthday! Also double thanks to my parents for picking up, setting up, and returning the giant inflatable. & My fam for making all the food. We love yall very much & really appreciate you helping us so much.

Lucky

Im not sure why, but today I feel especially lucky to have the amazing life I have. :D I guess it's because last week was filled with such good times with friends and family.

On Wednesday, Chris and I went to Beer, Bands & Bingo @ Tacky Jacks. It was SO much fun!
But it was also very very crowded. We made friends with the people sitting all around us and ended up splitting some garbage nachos with the man sitting beside us. & he turned out to be a garbage man!! It was awesome, I was drunk, so I thought it was very appropriate that we shared garbage nachos with a garbage man.
The whole round Chris only got one number, boo.

I was pretty excited about bingo.

On Thursday, I had kickball after work. I am LOVING playing kickball on Thursday nights. If there is anybody interested in playing next season, please let me know. Id really like to put together a team! You have to have between 8-11 people on the field, and 4 girls have to be playing at all times. It would be a really great activity for couples to do together, or if your single, a great way to meet new people! & its not just about kickball either. Like last week after the game, we all hung out, drank beer, & ate chips and salsa in the parking lot after our big win! It was a really good time

Friday after work I got to have dinner with Lindsay! & it was so DELICIOUS! In fact, the ahi tuna salad at Ashland Pub was so good, I went back and had it again the next day.

Chris and I spent Saturday morning deep cleaning the house. Not very fun, but it was productive. I got to shampoo my carpets!

Then Saturday night we had a little get together at our house. Justin, Alisa, Bogdan, Suzanne, Janae, & Kevin came over and we just hung around, played a game & enjoyed each other company. It was nice just hanging around the house with friends.

& yesterday I spent the day scrap booking with my grandmother & hanging out with my parents. My mom & dad took my sister and I for a little boat ride & then we ate at the Mariner on Dog River. It was a good time hanging out with my family. Plus I got to discuss some wedding plans with my parents, and that was good too. (So far we've got the venue, the food & the dj & lighting decided on!)

After dinner with the fam, I took Mobley up to Satsuma to see Chris. I know that bed is teenie tiny, but I love those boys.
They are just too cute.

Metformin: My Frienemy & Other Weekly Happenings

So last week my doctor prescribed Metformin to help with my cysts and I started taking in on Monday. I was excited to try something new, but my excitement quickly turned to... sickness. I found out that my body does not like whatever it is metformin is doing to it. It made me pretty sick for the first 5 days, but the last 2 days have been much, much better. & for that, I am thankful.

I cant remember if it was Tuesday or Wednesday night, but whatever night it was, I was convinced somebody was trying to break into our house. I was home alone, and Mobley barked around 1:30 am. I freaked out, called Chris and he stayed on the phone with me while I checked the doors and windows. (But seriously, guys, what the hell would I do if somebody was breaking into my house? Im getting a gun, but Ill get to that later) I attempted to go back to bed, but every noise I heard made me that much more nervous. By about 2:35 I was on the verge of tears I was so scared. I finnally told Chris that I wanted to get out of the house- it didnt matter that it was the middle of the night. So I grabbed Mobley and ran to the car ( I realize that this is not logical now, but you couldnt have convinced me of that then...) and realized that I didnt have my contacts. So I frantically ran inside, put on my glasses and made the 40 minute drive to Satsuma at 3 am. Im glad Chris loves me, because I kept him up all night long. Even when I got to Satsuma I couldnt sleep. After staying awake all night, we decided to get an alarm system. Yay.

Friday morning I packed up me & Mobs & we went to Orange Beach with Mimi. Mimi and I did some grocery shopping, and played scrabble all night. Saturday Lindsay, Justin, Alisa, Rian, Sarah, Chris S. and Zoe all came to hang out with me at the beach. Im so glad they did- It was SUCH a beautiful day. Plus we got to take a trip to Flora Bama and drink a few bushwackers!

After everybody left I had a buzz from the bushwackers, and was drained by the sun, so I passed out on the couch to rest up for Sunday.

Sunday Chris and my family met us at the beach. We went straight to the boat launch and spent the whole day out on the water. It was so nice spending time with my family together, and being in the sunshine. & If you have never eaten at Pirates Cove, it is so awesome! They have a really good greesy cheeseburger & there are dogs running all around! Oh god I loved the dogs. I made so many doggy friends, Mobley would have loved it.
After we were good and sun burned, we headed back to the condo and spent the rest of the afternoon eating and playing cards together. It was a perfect perfect Sunday.

Chris and I got up early this morning and headed back to Mobile so we could both get back to work. & I got to ease back into the work week by having lunch with my long lost friend Vicky. Im really glad she asked me to lunch, it was good catching up with her. BUT She told me her house got broken into Thursday night (THE ONE I USED TO LIVE IN!!!!). Thankfully noone was home, but they stole all of their electronics. I hate hate hate that that happened to her. Even MORE reason to get a gun and an alarm.

And though today has had some great parts to it, its kind of been bittersweet. Alisa and Justin lost a dear friend of theirs, Glen, last night to a heart attack. Even though I didnt know him, its hard to hear when someone so young and so loved passes away. Its things like that that flip your world upside down. It makes you cherish the time you have with your loved ones, & forces you to remember to tell them that you love them. I cant help but thinking about Chad and his family today. I keep hearing the last call and remembering the pain of his funeral. God, even as I type this I can  feel the anxiety, saddness, fear, and anger rising up in my chest.
Whew. I need a break from this...

Ill end with saying this, I am so incredibly lucky to have such an amazing family and a wonderful group of friends. I know I am loved by you, and I hope you know that I love each and every one of you. My life just wouldnt be the same without you all in it. Thank you for giving me so many memories and so much love and support in everything I do. I look forward each day to making a lifetime of memories with all of you.

Hunting & Gathering

God I love Mardi Gras. Normally, Im over it before it even starts, but this year is different. I dont know why, maybe its just my attitude towards it all.
My Mardi Gras weekend started at 12 on Friday when Lindsay & I met for a pedicure. Between getting my hair done & pregaming at the hotel, my night didnt slow down at all before the parade & ball. Heres a video of Justin parading!

Right after parade, Chris showed up, we got dressed & went to to watch call outs. This is when the real fun began. Here we are before the ball (and before any drinks.)
As soon as we got seated, here comes Justin, drunk as a mother fucker, running up into the stands. He was screaming and carrying on, grabbing boobs & butts wherever he could. To me, it was hilarious, to the people around us, he was crazy.
After call outs, we were ready to get the party started... well, after we hit the bathroom. Lindsay & I gave Chris & Pat specific instructions to STAY PUT while we peed. Of course, this directions were obviously too complex for their simple, alcohol saturated brains. Linds & I came back literally 3 minutes later, and the boys were gone. We spend half an hour wandering up and down the hall, and through the rooms to find them, but they were nowhere to be found. But just when we had almost given up, there they were, back where we had left them.
I freaked out a little. I wanted to know where the hell they had been, even though it was pretty obvious, because at that point, they had plates full of food. Chris said "We were, umm, Hunting some food." Aggravated & tipsy I replied "WHAT the fuck ever, You were GATHERING food." The boys didnt take kindly to being called gatherers... their logic was that you could not gather meat... Well, I beg to differ, but its all good.
After we finally rounded up our men, we spent a few hours just hanging out & daning a little. We got to hang out with some great friends- Eddie, Karleen, Sean, Misty, & we ran into a few other people we knew too.
Me & Misty
The Girls
The Guys

The later it got, the more drinks we had, the more silly our pictures got.
Also, as I drank, my eyes got smaller & mouth got bigger. haha

& As much fun as I had with my friends. & as excited I was that Chris actually danced with me. The highlght of my night was playing with the feather hats & getting to put one on. I was so happy I knew Jeff & Kim Lawson.

When people started heading out, and the numbers started thinning, Lindsay, Pat, Chris & I headed to Boo's after the ball. Chris & I didnt even stay long enough to get a drink beforewe were ready to call it a night.

The next morning Chris, Justin, Alisa, Lindsay, Pat & I went to breakfast at Spot of Tea. It was delicious as always.
The rest of the day flew by way too fast. We finally got home, got showers & a nap, and by that time it was already close to 4. We had to return Chris' tux, and do a quick clean sweep & trip to the grocery store.
Around 7 we had Lindsay, Justin, Alisa, Mike & Paulie over to watch the UFC fights. We had a nice time just being able to hang out and unwind from a nice weekend.

Today Im going to write my religion paper from my Marriage & Family class & then Im just going to hang out around the house, got to get ready to do it all again next weekend!

With A Little Help From My Friends

It's been an amazing weekend so far. Im not ready for it to end.

Friday, I was able to take off work and spend the morning with Chris before he had class from 1-9. When he left I spent the day cleaning, napping, and getting ready for Justin, Alisa, Lindsay, Liz & Chris to come over for dinner & game night. Luckily, Chris' instructor loves me and let Chris leave class at 7 so he could be home to eat with us. It was a really nice night with friends. I love that we can just hang out, have dinner and enjoy each others company.

Saturday was a good day too, even though it went by way too fast! I did get to go see Steph & her sweet baby Sophie. I cant believe shes already 13 days old. She is SUCH a pretty baby, though. & So good too!
After I left Stephanies,  I went to dinner with Eddie, Karleen, Lindsay & Shannon. We had a nice time & a good dinner at Shogun. -Thanks for being my date Lindsay! (Even though you were wearing a cardigan... so conservative)

Today is going to be as uneventful as they come. I have lots of school work to do before Desperate Housewives comes on! Im hoping to be able to go visit Chris for a few hours too. Dont get me wrong, I love hanging out with friends, but I felt like I didnt get any alone time with him this weekend except for a quick lunch and to go grocery shopping.

Also, I know Mardi Gras is coming up in the next few weeks, but after all that craziness has passed, I want to get a big group of friends together and go shoot pool, or go bowling or something that we can all do together!

Have a good lazy Sunday everybody.

Spray & Wash

Doesnt it always seem like the Friday through Sunday moves at twice the speed as the rest of the week? Ugh. I cant believe its already Monday. But, we had a great weekend, so it's all good. :)

Friday night, after I got off work, I ran home, scooped up Mobs and we went to see Chris at work. We didnt really get to do anything except lay around and watch Netflix, but I was thankful for the little extra time we got to spend together. I love staying up there, but it is awfully crowded with the three of us in a single bed. (Please, try to picture that right now. Chris, me and mobley [with Mobs in the middle] trying to sleep in a single bed, hillarious)

Saturday was super busy, but so much fun. When Chris got off work we took our time getting dressed, eating lunch, and running a few errands. Around 3:30 we headed to Chris & Sarah Shuttlesworth's house to grill out and watch the fights. Let me just say, I love hanging out with these people, I laughed so freakin hard. We played a dance game on x-box, and none of us have any rhythm. Justin would like to argue that he is the best dancer ever, but he should have seen himself. We took a break from dancing for the girls to gossip and the guys to cook some steaks before we watched the fights. I learn so much about my friends every time Im around them, its really incredible. But seriously, we had a great time. Thanks for having us over!! One of these days, Chris is actually going to be off when the fights are on, and we are going to have people over to our house!

Sunday was also a good day, except for the fact that Chris had to go back to work. It's always hard having him leave, especially when me & Mobs are still cuddled up in the bed. But, I am so thankful he works his ass off to provide for our family. Im so lucky <3
Sunday afternoon I drove down to my parents house. And let me just say, I know I have a wonderful family. My dad is so sweet. When I told him I needed to go get gas before the Super Bowl party, he took my car and filled it up for me. & My mother is absolutely histerical. I really should go visit them more often.
We all went to Marsha & Fred Walding's house for a superbowl party. God, there was so much food. I actually had a blast. I had to tell Kim that I washed her check that she gave me for Mardi Gras tickets. Opps... She said "DAMN GIRL! You gotta tell Big John:" Um, FUCK THAT. He is GIANT. If you dont know Big John, I will provide a picture. (His arms are bigger than my legs... I love taking pictures with him, he makes me looks skinny! haha)

But, even though he is a giant, giant man, he is also one of the nicest people I know.  I ended up being his "Bar Maid" the whole night, and I earned the nick name "Spray & Wash" Whatever. It was worth it not to have him mad at me. :)

So the weekend flew by, but it was such a good one. Now its Monday and I am so unmotivated to do anything. Last night I packed up my stuff to go to the gym before work, but I didnt quittte make it. I was doing so good, but I got way off my schedule over the last part of last week and the weekend. But some how I did manage to find 15 minutes to tan before work. Oh priorities.

I guess I should actually do some work. Have a good Monday!
